Professional Credentials
I have been teaching, coaching, training and providing psychotherapy to career-oriented professionals for more than 33 years. I have a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago and part of a second master's degree in Organizational Development which I worked towards at Benedictine University.
For 27 years I had a private practice in psychotherapy in downtown Chicago specializing in premarital, marital and divorce therapy, infertility, alcoholism treatment and career coaching.
I also had a business consulting practice in which I taught business owners leadership development skills, strategies for boosting sales force performance, how to identify the most profitable targets for their business, ways to improve organizational productivity and techniques for effectively dealing with problematic employees.
In addition, I held adjunct faculty positions at two different universities where I taught graduate and undergraduate students in counseling psychology, organizational behavior and supervision and management.
I love working with people. Teaching, coaching and consulting are second nature to me. For more than three decades, I have coached my clients on how to develop successful romantic relationships, satisfying careers and strong, sustainable businesses. Additionally, I coach clients in midlife and beyond on how to create their ideal retirement.
I'm skilled at identifying client strengths as well as areas of challenge. I like to analyze and break down problems into manageable chunks so my clients feel successful as they learn and try new things. I regularly offer kind feedback, while also providing support and encouragement for adopting new strategies and behaviors.

Testimonials
When I met Johanna I was a waitress with few prospects. She gave me a career, a loving partner and a fellowship to Harvard.

I have been working with Johanna on and off for over the last 20 years. She has made a profound difference both in my personal and professional life. I would not be the man I am today without her in my corner.
